Prosaic,

(think gallery wall-space)...I am amateur but this is a good way to put it - will keep this in mind on future postings rather than being a bit lazy. I was only thinking pictures.

The fence is a work of genius...You are too kind, but thanks so much. I do like the shot and only touched it up with a glow that added to the feel of the pic.

Really OTT colours - fab...I like the colors also.

Hi Diane,

I think Ren is right about the joint posting - does not quite work for me, either - seems to detract from both images (think gallery wall-space).

However, the pix themselves are a different matter...

The fence is a work of genius. Pure and simple - and, as you say, one of those things we see daily but never see until... an artist points it out to us. Brilliant.

The second is (as has been said) kaleidoscopic. Thanks for the explanation. Its colours remind me of a 19thC French brothel. Not that I have been in one recently, as this is the wrong century. Really OTT colours - fab.

Ren,

Yes, the first one draws me in as well. Funny I have looked at that fence a million times and not seen this until looking through my camera viewfinder around my normal surroundings to see things differently and there it was staring back at me, watching me all this time! The second is actually a black feather that was laying on the ground in the grass. No reason for posting together other than not being able to make up my mind which pics to post so I solved it by posting both. Had others too but decided to go with ghostly and pretty thinking they would please different tastes.

I love that first one!  Hauntingly perfect. . .

The second one is fun. . .the bright colors engaging. . .but, for me, not as drawing as the first. . .

interesting. . .any reason you posted these two together?

The first one is a little unnerving - a face staring at you from the fence.  The second is like a kaleidoscope.  I love the vivid colours.
