There was something about this shot that drew me in but I couldnt quite put my finger on it. The grain of the wood is what first caught my eye, then my Sister's pretty sandals. I had shoes on but I pulled it off for the shot. I was thinking bare wood/bare feet - there just seemed to be some connection. When I snapped it everyone thought I was a bit crazy and I also expected to delete it but it turned out to be one of my favorite shots in my growing collection. I agree completely with the corner part needing to be edited further, it does distract. Thanks so much for the compliment, much appreciated!

PS I dont leave home without my camera anymore and the great part is people are getting used to me having it and snapping away so I am getting better candid shots of my family as well! I have read this before but now I see what they mean, it really does work. My teenage son usually always hides his face when a camera is around but hasnt been doing that to me at all lately.

I do like the effect also. I think it works esp well on this pic because it brings out the grain in the wood, which is what prompted me to take the shot.
