Hello Diane,

Thanks for commentating,

>D> My first thought was snake skin. I do like the colors. I also like the way the two photos next to each other carry the pattern from one to the next, that gives it an added effect.

Thanks. I discovered the two-with-one ray by accident - but I am reet chuffed with it; shall try again.

Thanks Diane.

Hi Prosaic,

My first thought was snake skin. I do like the colors. I also like the way the two photos next to each other carry the pattern from one to the next, that gives it an added effect.

Hi Ren,

Thanks for returning.

>R> I see. . .yes. . .the James Bond movie is where my mind automatically went. . .loved the song from the movie. . .had a T-shirt with the words printed on it.  lolol

Smiley It happens to be my fav Bond film. And my fav Bond title rack.

>R> I just am not seeing it in the work the way you are. . .though I'm sure that many will. . .

Excellent! I hope no one sees it in the work. The title of an abstract piece must be chosen not to give meaning to the piece in my view. It does reflect the changes in colour in my view (as the music changes so) but that is simply my view on a reflection... I do not want it to prescribe any meaning to anyone, else the work is no longer abstract.

>R> but thanks for confirming that the song was one of your connections.

It is the only connection and work suggested title, not vice-versa - and since it is abstract, I hope it would not suggest the same title to too many others!

(viva les interpretations)

Thanks Ren,

p.

Hi Ren,

>R>The top three would be nice stand alone images too. . .enjoyed them all. . .but wondering why the title?

Thanks.

The title... this is an abstract work, so I wanted an abstract title which seemed to match the different moods / perspectives. Lo and Behold! Then Sir Paul McCartney came on tv with a concert in his home town of Liverpool - and he was playing his James Bond (007) theme hit "Live And Let Die." Well, nicking a title from a Beatle s good enough but the different colours seemed to match the ups and downs of the song but without being too prescriptive - do not want prescription for an abstract piece.

Hope that makes some sort of sense?

Thanks!

Hi Nas,

>N> Fascinating collage of different editing of the same object.  Individually, I like the colouration of the top centre and the two bottom left and centre.

Smiley Thanks. The originals of all the individual images are grey - so glad you like some of the imposed colours.

>N> I'm not keen on the colouration of the one, bottom right - reminds me of sweet corn.

I call it a golden snake!

>N> Having the six images (plus the lamps) together, I find is a little overwhelming on the senses because each one has such intense but different colours and pattern.

I agree! My very aim.

Thanks, Nas.

Hi P

Fascinating collage of different editing of the same object.  Individually, I like the colouration of the top centre and the two bottom left and centre.

I'm not keen on the colouration of the one, bottom right - reminds me of sweet corn.

Having the six images (plus the lamps) together, I find is a little overwhelming on the senses because each one has such intense but different colours and pattern.
