Thanks Diane.

The photo doesn't completely capture just how awesome the tree was.

Nas,

This is an amazing shot, the tree is impressive. It reminds me a little of the cypress trees that grow in Florida, but on a much smaller scale.

Thanks Melody.  I have another pic of the tree with my daughters standing by it, which shows the scale.

Wow...what a great picture...I like how in the corner you can use the people for scale...and the light in between the roots...

Ah Thanks.

Yes I was at a pub t'other day and took a picture of a fig tree (Brown Turkey Fig) at a somewhat earlier stage of its development!

Now I know why figs famously  have to be container-grown, else they take over.

Brill Pic - thank you.

Thanks P

Someone told me it was a fig tree (unsure) and my photo doesn't really capture just how awesome it was.

It would be interesting to see what designs one could make.

Fab Nas! What is it?

I love natural structures and this is a staggering one - one could certainly make spectacular dsigns from this wonderful photograph.

Thanks for posting.

I took this photo a couple of years ago in the botanical gardens in Tenerife.  I think it's a fig tree
