	Hi Diane, We have no stained glass or selves but I do enjoy sitting in a quiet church with sunlight streaming through the windows, which splashes flagstones with mellow colours. Thanks for your comments. p.

	Prosaic, I love stained glass and these are quite impressive. We have a few in our home but they are much smaller than these. Several of our wardrobes came from England, as there was a family who came here from there and shipped antiques over to a shop they opened in Lake City - they had a large section in their warehouse of stained glass windows as well. 	Gosh, Nas you may be right. I have just sent an e-mail to Richard Digance to ask if he did, indeed, perform that song - which I last heard in the late 1970s / early 1980s on Radio Trent (Nottingham - for those over the pond that is the city of Robin Hood). Your search skills always astound me - well done and thanks Nas. I'll keep you posted. p.

	Hi en, Glad it is of interest. There is, by the way, a "better" song about Winchester Cathedral than he New Vaudeville Band's. Unfortunately, I have no been able to find a copy and have not heard of it for years. But it was a bit like a druggie-trip, where the song imagines the singer flying through the aisle of the Cathedral - so it does actually reflect something about the building. I know it is English folk music and I think sung by Robin Dransfield - so if anyone knows of it, please shout! Anyway, after that digression... Thanks again. p.

	Very lovely. . .amazing the time and artistry that went into these works of art. . . 1300's or 1700's. . .the energy of the churches. . .must be amazing in itself. . .then add the beauty of the stained glass. . . enveloping. Ren

	Thanks Nas - These are from two local churches both of which date to the Thirteenth Century (1200-1299). However, the windows are more recent (axiomatic). I do not know but I would say 1750 onwards. If I find out I shall add to this. Best wishes, p.
