Hi Ren,

I was thinking along the lines Hawkwind was - a metaphor for human emotions - but that is very humo-centric of me.

In Derbyshire we have a disappearing river - but on a very gentle, less spectacular scale (it leavs behind plenty of grassland - not arid). Nevertheless such changes are always fascinating.

Well done with the pix.

p.

lolol -- indeed. . .how humo-centric.  *smile*  We can't seem to get away from that can we?  The river sounds lovely. . .each different climate offering us something to simply drink in. . .or meditate upon.

Ren

Thanks Patrice. . .the "pathway". . .which I agree looks just like stairs. . .is actually a dry river bed. . .which I'm told becomes filled and rushing. . .during "monsoon" season as the locals told me. . .apparently mid-May or so for a month of a month and a half. . .

it storms. . .the rivers rage. . .then it drys back up. . .until it storms again.  And apparently if that storm comes up while one is out hiking or climbing. . .it's in your best interest to stay out of the beds. . .because the waters come on quite quickly. . .

I was safe in climbing into the bed. . .no rain. . .no possibility of it.  *smile*

Kind of like emotions - they rage and then subside; you feel safe walking the path but know that there will be a time when those emotions will rise again and overflow ... a great analogy in that picture...

Patrice

That works very well Patrice. . .rise to overlfow. . .sometimes rage. . .to trickle back. . .to calm. . .

Great pics Ren

I love the olour of the stone in the second one.  Must be strange to see it as a fast flowing river after you've walked along it.
