I LOVE invitation. . .again. . .frame it, sell it. . .do something with it.  *smile*  And bloom. . .what a great abstract that would make blown up and oversize. . .say. . .at least 24 X 24. . .

Cool photos.

>T> prosaic, By programme, do you mean software?
If that's the question (sorry I AM on the other side of the pond),

LOL we're getting there!

Yes as in "computer programme" - or "software programme" (as in programming language). May be a generational thing, rather than a pond thing, I have programmed the PC in the early 1980s.

>T> then the alterations were simple software used by www.photobucket.com 's website. I think most of that would be found in Photoshop, but I haven't seen a recent version.

Ah right, thanks.

I don't use Photoshop (too expensive) but do use various other software programmes - especially ACDSee and Serif Photo+

I haven't been taking pictures in a while and the Retreat was a good excuse to experiment. Like poetry, or any other art, experimentation and purpose are my two driving forces for creation.

Brill! I am delighted you are back photographing, if these are anything to go by.

I write because I must. (Sounds poncy but 'tis true). I take photographs then edit them to record and comment.

Cheers, p.

>T> proasaic, Well, if my art has a nauseating reaction...well, I suppose at least that's a reaction.

LOL - that is why I said it was physical, not emotional. Doesn't matter what it is nor by whom it is, if it is blurred it can make me nauseas. Not your fault!

However, your general point is valid - I also prefer any reaction to none.

>T> 'Bloom' looked so good with that alteration, after playing around with the original that this image took on a quality all its own. As you aptly put, somewhat a fiery motiff. I thank you for stopping in as well.

Cheers, Tim - And again, well done. May I ask which programme you employed, please?

Norm,
Thanks for popping in. Consider 'Down...' in the third installment. There is a message intended there too.

proasaic,

Hi Tim,

Well done with all these.

I do have problems with three - no matter how good they are else - well the same problem, actually - viz: the blurring causes me some physical nausea (not emotional!). However, your "Bloom" shot is one I can fully appreciate and I really like the way you have adapted it. It reminds me of an inferno - a bonfire, maybe?

Well done.

p.

Creative -- I also love it when an artistic photo can make me think and beg me interpret or guess at some message based on the way the artist has presented the material.

I think the laughter photo is my favorite here.

Thanks nas,

That's the same tree I took a pic of you ladies standing under. A different shot with the same tree is on the Retreat board. Thanks again.

Hi Patrice,

My pleasure, I enjoy sharing photography that works out...or some that don't, but are still interesting.

Hello,
below are just random pics taking during our trip to Ny/Nj, but are not directly related to the Retreat. Some pics are altered, others shouldn't have been touched. Namaste.

(don't fence me in)
