Hey, LJ!  Great to see you!

and it would be great to see some of your own photography!  I'd love to write a poem or two to accompany them, maybe!

... and about this post, the link takes me to a partial wall that's curved and has "King" and part of a date on it.  Is that only part of the picture?

I wish you would repost this!

It's been a long time and I still remember this picture as I loved it so much!

I am curious, other than links is there any way to show our work?  Joe
P.S.  I have work at :        ArtAnonymous@yahoogroups.com look up joseph finkleman.   An open invitation to take a look and see.  Some watercolors and two B&W photos hand colored.

G'day Joe,

Again, thanks very much for the feedback. To be honest, instead of my usual, self-flagellant self, this is one of my favourite photos. Sometimes I think it would have been better if the year wasn't below (not much I could do there without too much Photoshop for my liking), but then I think the number adds something cryptographic to it...then I think I'm just being a tosser.  Smiley

All of which is to say "Thanks". You and Norm are both giving me the 'Creative Junction' inspiration back. I think I'll be posting some more...

This is a very strong image, I think that the starkness of B&W coupled with the incompletion, just the word King, is particularly powerful.  The demarcation of the end of the wall in shadow is very symbolic.  Powerful wonderful photo.

but in a the good way instead of how it is usually said!

You have great talent, your ego must have shrunk in my absence, I don't remember you as being modest Wink Grin

Seriously...I still think this is great...it's just the way that you got the shadows so spot on!

I could sit here and go on all night but what I see...but you have heard it before and I am at work so my boss might just have something to say about my time on here LOL

I wish I had the time to go walking...I took some snaps in Egypt on my mini cruise but they are just that...snaps, nothing at all worthy of anything but the holiday album! I need to dig out my camera (yep its been that long at the mo) and go and see if I can catch London as the season changes!

Maybe the trip after India will have to be Sydney  Grin

I missed you hun...

Ah... I think I had seen this before... reminds me of a picture of my greatuncle... one of the last taken before he got lung cancer-- I might post it if I can find the file.

Bugger!

I've just altered the link (I gave the direct link to the picture rather than the page). Thanks for that, Salem!

This link is broken and we will ask Claw to "re-connect it".

As with Norm's post, this photo has appeared here before, and received comment. I welcome any criticism, naturally.

Oh, and I'd love to hear from others who call themselves "photographers" - even if, like me, your enthusiasm is much greater than your skill  Wink - or those who have a potential interest in photography somewhere in their future. LJ/Romanyangel, my fellow permanent occupant of this particular carriage of the Train, is/has been a professional photographer and has similar enthusiasm (though I'll have to blow her trumpet, because she won't, and say that her skill matches or exceeds her enthusiasm).
